AutoVision Wireless Inc. provides web based fleet management solutions to 15,000 plus vehicles across Canada for the Bell Group of Companies as well as for customers in other vertical market segments. Our goal is fleet management excellence by providing telematics and software solutions using in-house developed management systems. Our Fleet management services include Automatic Vehicle Location using cellular and satellite networks; real-time remote vehicle diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance software.
 

 

Programmer / Architect

We have a challenging opportunity based in the GTA (Finch and Weston) region for a motivated individual to take the initiative of remodeling our fleet management software for the next generation fleet managers.

You possess strong programming skills, knowledge of .NET and Web Services and the ability to enhance our organization's software architecture. You will be accountable for maintaining current knowledge of methodologies, particularly as they relate to ASP.NET, Web applications and general Web development.

We are seeking a highly motivated, creative individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, proven organizational and problem solving abilities and a positive "can do" attitude.

Research Associate Marketing

The Research Associate plays an integral role in the Sales and Marketing department by providing crucial assistance to Sales and Marketing team. The Research Associate works under the supervision of the Director of Sales who is responsible for developing new business opportunities in the medium-sized vehicle fleet market. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Conduct primary research from industry and financial sources with a goal of developing a list of small to medium size vehicle fleets
  • Call the target customers to develop a list of prospects for fleet management solutions
  • Develop a list of Fleet Managers for the Municipalities across Canada
  • Develop a list of Law Enforcement and Emergency Service contacts
  • Update the AutoVision Wireless Inc. website every 2 weeks with material provided by the Sales and Marketing representatives 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An undergraduate degree in business with a focus on market research or a recent MBA graduate
  • One to two years of work experience in a marketing role would be an asset (co-op student experience will be considered)
  • Business development experience
  • Self-motivated, hardworking and detail-oriented

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • 20% of the work is learning products and services
  • 40% of the work is computer-based
  • 40% of the work is telephone calling
  • Conduct research through information gathering making use of the internet and where required primary research techniques which may include telephone calls and interviews  

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Knowledge and skills working with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Highly organized and able to balance multiple projects at a time
  • Strong work ethic
  • Sense of ownership and willingness to get the job done
  • An aptitude towards technology
  • Bilingual – an asset

Installation Technician

Installation technicians required to install Telematics tracking units and automotive related accessories in vehicles throughout Ontario. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends periodically and be willing to travel overnight when necessary. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, transportation will be supplied.

Preference will be given to those applicants with an automotive technician background and working knowledge of automotive electrical systems and asset.
 This is a temporary position leading to full time employment for the right candidate.

Compensation negotiable as salaried position or piece work.

Location: North York
Compensation: $15.00 to $20.00 per hour
